Pride in Salzburg is much more than a single parade or party. The annual Pride Festival brings together the LGBTQIA+ community, allies and visitors for more than a week of events celebrating diversity, equality, visibility and love.

The programme changes every year and can include discussions, workshops, cultural events, social gatherings, parties, sports activities and special events throughout the city. Whether you're visiting Salzburg specifically for Pride or simply want to experience the city during this colourful week, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

What makes Pride especially special is the sense of community. It's an opportunity to meet people, have conversations, celebrate together and show that everyone should be able to live openly and without discrimination.

Pride Parade Salzburg

The Pride Parade is the centrepiece of Pride in Salzburg and brings the celebration of diversity into the streets of the city. In 2026, the parade takes place on Saturday, 5 September, with participants gathering at Salzburg Central Station before setting off through the city. The route continues via Rainerstraße, Mirabell Palace, Staatsbrücke and Rudolfskai before ending in Nonntal.

The parade is both a celebration and a political statement, with colourful costumes, music, banners and speeches creating a lively atmosphere throughout Salzburg. Everyone is welcome to take part or simply watch from along the route.

If you're planning to attend, check the current meeting point, starting time and route shortly before the event, as details can change from year to year.
