Insider Ramen

Ramen = comfort

We’re a little obsessed with ramen. For us, it’s the ultimate comfort food—something to slurp when you’re sick, when you’re celebrating, or when absolutely nothing is going on. There’s just something about a warm bowl of broth and noodles that makes the world feel a little more manageable.

So we went on a mission to find the best ramen in Salzburg. Here’s where to go when the craving hits.

🍜 Ichi Go Ichi E

Hands down one of the top ramen spots in Salzburg. Rich, complex broth, house-made noodles, and a menu that’s serious about quality. There’s really no way to go wrong here. But take note: you’ll need a reservation. This place books up fast — definitely for the well-prepared.

Location: Business Boulevard (Sterneckstraße)

🍥 Nomad Kids

A tiny Imbiss tucked into the old city that serves up surprisingly tasty ramen. The sushi is solid too, and the prices are a win. Perfect for a quick, satisfying bite that doesn’t feel rushed or overhyped.

Location: Altstadt (Chiemseegasse)

🌸 East Ramen Bar

Stylish location, stylish bowls. East Ramen Bar offers a variety of options and a kitchen open until 22:00, which makes it a go-to for late cravings. It’s one of those places that looks good on your feed and tastes just as good in real life.

Location: Linzergasse

🤖 Yaoco Street

This one might surprise you — it’s inside a shopping mall, and your food is delivered by a robot. Yes, really. But behind the gimmick is genuinely good ramen: flavorful, filling, and fun. Great if you want a noodle fix during a shopping break (or if you're just into robots).

Location: Inside Europark

🥢 Uncle Van’s

Straightforward, reliable, and always tasty. With two locations in Salzburg and a simple, no-nonsense menu, Uncle Van’s is perfect for a spontaneous lunch or a quick ramen fix that won’t disappoint.

Locations: Nonntal & Steingasse

🍲 Mr. Wen

We’ve lost count of how many Mr. Wen spots exist in Salzburg—and honestly, we don’t mind. Fast, uncomplicated, and affordable, Mr. Wen has quietly become a city staple for casual Asian food, including some solid ramen bowls.
