Salve Café Salzburg

Salve is cozy, welcoming, and way more beautiful than I expected. A friend invited me and I thought I was walking into a tiny spot. What I found instead was a bright, peaceful space that’s kid friendly and work friendly, with accessible power plugs and an atmosphere you’ll want to stay in for hours.
I had the Salve Immunbooster Tea (mint, ginger, curcuma honey, lemon) which totally converted me into a tea person. Followed by a hot press sandwich with grilled veggies, a yoghurt bowl with blueberries, curcuma ginger honey, walnuts and pistachios, and a slice of chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. Yes, I needed to be rolled out.
And yes, it’s healthy, but also really, really good. Salve also caters to the patients of the health center upstairs, so chef Simon Masoner goes the extra mile. Ingredients are fresh, mostly regional and packed with the kind of good stuff your body will thank you for. Eggs, salad and sprouts come straight from Lielonhof just outside the city. The honey? Homemade by one of the clinic’s owners.
Salve serves breakfast, a rotating lunch menu at a great price, and all day coffee, cakes and snacks. So next time you need an immune or caffeine boost, give it a try — and tell them we sent you.
