Lärchenhütte am Zwölferhorn

We took a little hike into paradise last week, straight up to Lärchenhütte on the Zwölferhorn. It’s just a 40-minute walk from the lower parking lot (don’t forget your parking ticket), and every step is worth it.

Up at the hut, we somehow got lucky and landed the table with the view. The kind where you sit back and think, okay, this is what weekends are for. There were donkeys and sheep casually hanging out, daybeds tucked into the mountainside, a sweet little playground for the kids, and food that easily competes with the scenery.

It’s peaceful, it’s low-key, and it’s the kind of place you’ll probably start planning to return to before you’ve even finished your coffee. Just remember to bring cash, and if you want that view table, maybe book ahead through their website.
