Pfeifergasse 2
Address

KAI:ZWEI opened its doors just two weeks ago, and after many of you kept mentioning it to us, we had to stop by and see it for ourselves. What started as a quick visit quickly turned into a long chat with the owner, Michal. Originally from Slovakia, he has been living in Salzburg for about five years, and opening a coffee shop has always been a personal dream of his. With KAI:ZWEI, that dream has finally found a home.
The café feels small, cozy, and effortlessly relaxed, the kind of place where you walk in for a quick coffee and accidentally stay longer than planned. The concept is simple but well thought through. Snacks are available throughout the entire day and can easily be taken to go. During our visit, we tried a sandwich, the egg served in a glass, and the egg spread, which honestly surprised us in the best way. Simple, fresh, and full of flavour.
Beyond coffee and cake, KAI:ZWEI also offers a selection of Kombucha, including some varieties brought in from Slovakia, alongside a small but interesting craft beer selection. It is a place that works just as well for a slow morning coffee as it does for a casual afternoon stop.
Families are very welcome, and there is even a loyalty card for regular visitors, which already hints that Michal is planning to build a place people return to often, not just visit once.
